For this 2024/2025 Ligue 1 season with 18 clubs, find out which is the biggest and smallest stadium in the championship.
What is the largest Ligue 1 stadium for the 24/25 season?
Unsurprisingly, Marseille and the legendary Stade Vélodrome take first place in the rankings with over 67,000 seats! This makes it the second largest stadium in the country behind the 80,000-seat Stade de France.
In second and third place in this ranking are theGroupama Stadium in Lyon and the Decathlon Arena (Pierre Mauroy Stadium) in Lille. This could change with the new stadium project for PSG, watch this space!
What is the smallest Ligue 1 stadium for the 24/25 season?
Brest and its Francis-Le Blé stadium occupy last place in this ranking!
Stade Brestois has been working for many years on a new stadium project, which should see the light of day in 2027 under the name Arkéa Park. Although much more modern, this stadium will nevertheless be slightly smaller in terms of capacity, with 15,000 seats announced compared to 15,220 for the current stadium. Brest should therefore remain one of the smallest stadiums in Ligue 1 for a few more years, unless this capacity is revised in light of the sporting performances of recent months.
